It is designed specifically for trading UK horse racing. The user of the application first selects the horse to trade and then starts monitoring the statistics of the chosen horse. A number of factors are taken into account before the user chooses to Back or Lay: Pressure Of Money. This is shown as a % figure. The % figure is either preceded or followed by an arrow indicating which side has money waiting to be matched. For instance <28% means that 28% of the total amount of money waiting to be matched on the horse (ie both back and lay sides)is on the 'available to Back' side, meaning that 72% of the total money is on the lay side ie more money is trying to be backed on the horse. This would indicate that there is a fair chance the price could well fall. Highest and Lowest amounts matched. These figures show the highest and lowest odds matched so far. Using the pressure of money indicator above if the current odds were close to their highest matched and the pressure of money showed <28% then that would be an excellent indication that the price could well fall imminently. Once the user has made an informed decision that the price could well move, the user simply clicks either the Back or Lay button. If the horse is being backed then typically the horse would be backed at 1.01, this doesnt mean that it will be matched at 1.01, it means the best price will be taken and all the the stake amount matched. Similarly, a lay would mean a lay being made (using a pre-defined setting) above the current lay odds, the bet would be made though taking the best available lay price. Once the odds had moved in the hoped for direction then the user simply Backs or Lays back again to lock in a profit. The stake amount is pre-defined and always remains the same.
