Bluedot betting are registered developers for the Betfair API. Having full access to the API means that I am able to get all the latest data from the Betfair website and use this within each application. Each application is certified by Betfair, this ensures that all activity is fully logged and all data is encrypted before being sent through to Betfair. It also means that should I stop paying for full access to the API then the application will continue to work, something you need to think about if asking someone to write an application for you!

There are many different types of bots, some place bets based on volumes of money traded, some on price movements, some on historical data etc etc. I have coded dozens of such applications and fully understand the problems that an system can face before even starting to code an application.

Another form of betting application is the gui. This is a customised application that displays all the data that the requester of the application may need in order to place a bet. Usually the ability to place a bet is a lot easier than web based interfaces. Bluedot already have one such gui available on a pay-per-month basis, further details can be found here.

I use the API from Betfair for the creation of betting applications and all programs are coded in Java which means they will run fine on most systems without any tedious user configuration.
